OH FASHION MODEL

The title "Colour Fiesta" sums this shoot up perfectly. Despite being a person who has a wardrobe which is largely made up of black, this shoot has inspired me to inject some serious colour into my wardrobe. Further, it has confirmed that I simply must buy a red lipstick with an orange hue! Nicole Bentley is a fabulous photographer. Her photos always have a softness about them, uncommon to high fashion editorials.

Fashion Gone Rogue

Wow! That's the first word that came to mind when I saw Pucci's latest collection. My original plan was to do individual posts on my favourite pieces/designers from each of the major fashion weeks starting with New York, moving on the London, then Milan etc. With the amount of uni week I've had to do, I haven't got round to compiling all the pictures. And then when I saw this collection, I just couldn't wait to post it! This is what my dream summer/spring wardrobe would look like - sheer, blue & white psychedelic print maxis and kaftans, brown leather sandals, and crochet dresses. I love how the fabrics just flow as the models strut along the runway, the lace-up detailing,  the summery 'I did it myself hair' and natural-looking makeup. It's making me get all excited for the warm summer months ahead :)

Fashion Gone Rogue

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I'm getting all excited for summer....unfortunately still another month of winter to get through first. I'm looking forward to running along the beach blasting my ipod, swimming, lounging around with friends in the sun and riding my bike down to the beach to get ice-cream :)  This shoot is so retro and cool. Those black round sunglasses are to die for - I'll be on the hunt for a similar pair now. And I love all the red details - nails, suspenders, clutch and shoes. Fabulously free-spirited and summer loving ♥

Everyone calls me Coco. I'm mad for Chanel.

I have loved Chanel since I first lay eyes on a bottle of Chanel perfume on my grandmother's dressing table when I was about 4 years old. I remember the bottle looking so shinny and perfect.  With age I have come to love the label more and more. I can't walk past a Chanel store without going in to dream for a few moments. The label has a timeless elegance which transcends all age groups. My favourite Chanel items have to be the 2.55 quilted bag, the two-tone ballet slippers and pearl necklaces - they will never go out of style. It's fascinating how Chanel revamps these classic items in each season's collection.

The new Chanel short film by Karl Lagerfeld titled 'Remember Now' featuring the 2010/2011 Cruise collection is fantastic. Sure, the plot may not be anything to rave about - young, attractive model drawn to a much older man blah blah. As for the clothes, the location (Saint Tropez) and the drop top Rolls Royce Phantom - it couldn't be anymore glamourous and stylish! I just love it when Abbey Lee is mistaken for Jane Birkin and Magdalena is dancing around the guy on the motorcycle dressed as Brigitte Bardot. The clothes are to die for - the jewelled dresses, lace tops, fine feathers, and of course the chic Chanel tweed jacket.  The film made me want to run off to the South of France to enjoy the European Summer. Seeing these pictures of Blumarine's perfect orange and magenta dresses reminds me to make an effort to wear some of those crazy kaftans in my wardrobe. Perfect in the daytime with sandals or at night with a pair of skyscraper stilettos!
