Lace Beauty

Ali Stephens
Photographed by Eric Guillemain
Fair Italia August 2010

There is something classic, yet still modern about this shoot. The lace dresses look fantastic against up against the classic white interiors of the setting. I love the dress in the 4th pic. So elegant and classic. The make up is very minimalistic which allows the beauty of the dresses and the backdrop to come through. This shoot further reminds me that I must buy a fern to keep indoors. I'm obsessed with indoor plants at the moment. They remind me of my grandmother's house back in the early 90s. She had them everywhere. Indoor plants seemed to have disappeared for a while but are quickly making a return. I was sceptical at first when my friend Belle, who has studied interior design, suggested I get some for my space, but I've taken a liking to them of late. Looks like I'm in need of a visit to the garden centre.

Miranda Kerr in Elle

Photographer: Mariano Vivanco
Elle US June 2010

Miranda's hair looks amazing here - the shoulder length, side part with lots of volume look really suits her. The clothes are so classic too - my favs are the nude bodysuit in the first pic and the white dress in the 2nd pic cinched in with the big, black belt.

I was in awe of the way the Parisians were dressed when I visited Paris with my family just over two years ago.  I could sit in the window of one of those quaint French cafes drinking one Café au lait after another watching the amazing ensembles of clothes and accessories walk past all day - stunning boots, velvet blazers, designer it-bags of the moment and fur coats. It was hard to decide between the masses of men, women and children who was the best dressed. I love how they mix monochrome classics with the latest trends to create that perfect outfit. It was fantastic to finally be able to wear all those glamourous winter items in my closet that are virtually unwearable in Sydney except of the coldest of days. I can't wait for a revisit!
