Justin Bieber may be a mega celebrity, but he is an animal lover too. On Wednesday the pop star and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) joined together for a campaign encouraging awareness on adoption from animal shelters.
The campaign is definitely one of the softest that PETA has ever organized, as it is teen, tween and even adult friendly. Parents will find it age appropriate as the usual blood and nakedness PETA prefers to shock with was exchanged for a cute dog. Sharing the insight of why people should go to a shelter, Bieber gently reminds his audience that adopting a dog might be the best thing to happen for not only the dog but also the owner
A dog owner himself, Justin Bieber got a dog named Sam, about a year ago when he moved to work on his career. Even though the idea of having an animal is important, the pop star stressed that every person can make a difference if they decide to adopt.
"My Dad and I used to go and hang out … just go and visit the different animals and stuff. It's really important that people adopt. I really encourage going out to an animal shelter or a place where you can get a dog that has been abandoned or doesn't have a home."
While many dogs may be adopted from this strongly positioned campaign, there is another interesting point that everyone should notice. Justin Bieber, a huge celebrity is using his star power to help others in the world. As some stars worry just how much is in their bank account before crossing the street, this young celebrity takes it upon himself to make a difference. Love his music or not, it is this dedication that makes his fans appreciate the values he projects.
