Toni Braxton Has Lupus
Toni Braxton reveals she suffers from Lupus at the Women in Achievement Awards for the 8th Annual Bag Ladies Luncheon befitting Lupus awareness, Toni Braxton stunned the crowd when she told them, "Take a look, this is what lupus looks like," as she accepted her award. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease that can affect any part of the body. As occurs in other autoimmune diseases, the immune system attacks the body’s cells and tissue, resulting in inflammation and tissue damage. Toni, an American Heart Association spokeswoman, also suffers from pericarditis, an inflammation of the heart lining that has left her prone to high blood pressure and heart palpitations. Poor thing, in addition to being broke she is also in poor health.
