While Justin loves being on stage and performing, he admits it would be great to be able to escape the limelight and spend more time being a regular teenager in Canada.
In his upcoming autobiography First Step 2 Forever, Justin revealed: “Now that I’m here, I sometimes wish I could just go back home and chill.
“But if I was at home and I wasn’t doing this, I’d wish that I was in this position.”
His parents Pattie and Jeremy separated before his first birthday and although he always wanted to have a regular upbringing when he was younger, he admits he now appreciates his childhood.
He explained: “When I was little I longed for a ‘normal’ life with a ‘normal’ family. Mom worked her b**t off at whatever job she could get to keep a roof over our heads. There no luxuries but it never occurred to me that we were poor. We had each other, which was everything.”
Classic case of the grass is always greener on the other side.
